I already know what you are thinking. You are probably wondering why in the world am I doing a makeup product review on a dance industry website. Well, to answer your obvious skepticism, the answer is that dancers are major consumers in the beauty industry. Whether it be for shows, performances, competitions, auditions, you name it – dancers use makeup! Dancers use haircare and skincare products and let’s face it, they pretty much RELY on them. Personally, I have always loved and adored makeup. I mean honestly, where would a girl be without mascara? Or foundation? Or eyeshadow…geez, I could go on and on. But my problem is, the beauty industry is just one toxic junk pile to be completely honest. So many popular “name brands” that people have come to love and be loyal to are literally loaded with crap: harmful chemicals, hormone disrupting compounds, and carcinogenic ingredients that may look lovely on the outside, but wreak havoc on our delicate internal systems. But don’t take MY word for it! Do some research!!
When I realized how my personal care products were affecting my body, I decided to “break up” with my favorite products and vowed never to use another product that would put harmful toxins in my system. Doing this was easier said than done, especially five years ago when the organic beauty industry was not as large or accessible as it is today. Nowadays, I think awareness about the beauty industry’s dirty secrets are spreading, and more and more people are beginning to question the products’ integrity that they use on a daily basis.
While I have found and fallen in love with many organic makeup products, I must admit that finding a mascara I was deeply attached to was a lot harder than I initially thought it would be. It has been that one sole remaining product where, I have found replacements that did the job, but didn’t give me that WOW factor I was really looking for. Prior to my organic makeup obsession, I was a die-hard fan of Lancome mascara. With the likes of Kim K and other celebs boasting of the product, it was a no brainer that the stuff certainly lived up to its reputation. Your lashes were just BAM-there. I mean, you could have NO lashes, and this stuff made you look like you were blessed with luscious looking eyes. But, I just has to break up with the mascara because, let’s face it, who really WANTS to put crap they can’t pronounce right near THEIR EYEBALLS?! I bet if you stopped and actually READ the ingredients, you’d be second guessing the goop yourself.
Ok, so this post is not just to bash the mainstream beauty industry, or mourn the loss of my $45 designer mascara that did nothing but lead me on and break my heart. This is about spreading awareness that there ARE alternatives out there people! And, you DO NOT have to spend a fortune to achieve gorgeous, luscious lashes, while sacrificing the safety of your precious hormones and internal organs to say the least. Because I have found a MUCH BETTER alternative, and it’s called Organic Mascara by Endlessly Beautiful. You will never guess where I found it.
Probably my most fav. online store ever: Amazon! I know, I know, I know what you are thinking. How can you buy makeup on Amazon without having tried it? It’s just not the same as walking into Sephora or Ulta and trying it out to make sure you like it before you blow your hard earned money on yet another beauty product. But let me just tell you, I have had my fair share of ordering products online and not liking them. But this is not one of them. In fact, I was so pleased with this mascara that I actually wrote the founder an email saying how much I enjoyed it, and she gave me a coupon code just for you guys for 15% off! It’s DANCE101, and it’s only good until November 26th, so I suggest you go to the above link and buy it before it expires! I promise you that this mascara delivers. Not only is it completely free of harmful and nasty chemicals, but it is chock full of nutrients your lashes need to be nourished and healthy. It truly makes your lashes pop, and gives them that WOW factor that I was talking about earlier. I have tried several brands of organic mascaras, and not one of them has come close the high quality that Endlessly Beautiful has. It lengthens and coats your lashes to give them a full volume look that just can’t be achieved with other all natural mascaras. The best part is, even at full price this stuff is still HALF of what you would pay for a department store brand mascara – and if you snag it now you will get it at an additional 15% off! They even send a PDF of cool tips and tricks to get the most out of your mascara.
If you do go ahead and buy it, please let me know what you think! Come back to my post and leave some feedback, I would love to hear your thoughts on this amazing product!
